When planning your bachelor party in Detroit, you'll want to hit some of the best bars in the area. Go ahead and kick back while we tell you about a few of our favorites.
If you love old Irish pubs, you just can't beat the Old Shillelagh. Why? Because it's old and authentic! It doesn't just talk the talk like many wannabe old Irish pubs. This one is the real deal. Known to all the locals because of its rich history and fun times in the present! It's an especially popular place on St Patrick's Day, but it's a favorite all year round. You will love the food and drinks here. Located on Monroe near Greektown.
We love to chill at Nemo's both before and after Detroit sporting events. Some of the downtown bars have strict dress codes, but this one is relaxed enough that you can walk right in after the game and have a great time. We love the music here, and the crew makes it even more fun because they are friendly and they make sure that your glass is never empty. Bonus: Great burgers! You'll find Nemo's on Michigan Avenue just east of Rosa Parks Boulevard.
This is a favorite no matter what city we're in, but the Detroit location definitely makes the top of the list. The darts, pool tables, and video games are great, but we'd say the music and the warm staff are what really helps this one make the grade. On West Congress Street and Cass Avenue.
Cheli's Chili Bar is owned by the former Red Wing player, Chris Chelios. It is a great sports bar to go and watch the Red Wings games on one of their 37 flat screen TV's. The place is always packed before and after any Red Wings, Tigers, or Lions game. You can expect this place to have wonderful drinks and drink specials as well as some delicious food to enjoy. You have to try the chili, because of course, the place is named after the chili.
Those are the best of the best in our opinion, but some others that deserve at least a mention are: Centaur martini bar on Park Ave, Cliff Bell's jazz bar on Park Ave, Town Pump Tavern on W Montcalm, Flood's Bar & Grille on St Antoine, MGM Grand on Third St, Northern Lights Lounge on W Baltimore, The Park Bar on Park Ave, Pulse on Monroe, The Rhino on Randolph, The Anchor on Fort St, and The Apartment Nightclub on Woodward.
